Lopud

Lopud je otok bujne mediteranske i suptropske vegetacije, parkova, pjeskovitih plaža (plaža Šunj i plaža u samom mjestu Lopudu), Lopud se smjestio u sredini, između Koločepa i Šipana. Lopud je u prošlosti bio otok kapetana koji su pomorstvu Dubrovačke Republike dali najviše pomoraca među kojima je glasoviti pomorac i brodovlasnik Miho Pracat. Sačuvan srednjovjekovni izgled sa brojnim crkvicama (Lopud je u 16. St. Imao 30 crkava), ljetnikovcima, i samostanima ubraja Lopud u najljepše primjere uređenja šireg dubrovačkog područja. Franjevački samostan iz 1483. u svojoj crkvi sv. Marije od Špiljice čuva mnoge vrijedne umjetnine, kao i crkva Gospe od Šunja.

Lopud

Lopud is an island covered with lush Mediterranean and subtropical vegetation. Lopud is located between Kolocep and Sipan. It is beautiful parks and gardens, sandy beaches (Sunj and the beach in the settlement Lopud) attract many visitors. In the past Lopud used to be the island of captains and sailors. A famous captain and ship-owner Miho Pracat was born there. Many medieval churches (there were 30 ones in the 16th century), summer residences and monasteries have been preserved and therefore Lopud is one of the most beautifully arranged settlements of the wider Dubrovnik area. There are many valuable works of art in the Franciscan Monastery from 1483, as well as in the churches called "Maria of a Small Cave" and the "Our Lady of Sunj".
